Byron Sampson is a Professional Landscape Architect and Associate Director/University Landscape Architect at Arizona State University. There he has worked on a range of projects, including accessibility plans and recommendations, the University Master Plan update, and COVID response for all the campuses in the University system. This effort coincided with construction projects, including new residence halls, research facilities, and campus infrastructure.
He is a 1980 graduate of Texas Tech University. He has a great deal of international experience early in working on governmental and academic projects in various parts of the world, including the US Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition to his international experience, he has worked in large and small firms in Houston and land development in Arizona. Before joining ASU, he was the Landscape Design Director for Verrado, a land development project by DMB in Buckeye, Arizona.
