Organized by the Dumbarton Oaks, the Dean’s Initiative is a collaboration of leaders in Design and Built Environment Schools seeking to nurture a diverse population of emerging scholars teaching and researching the built environment to advance socio-ecological and spatial justice, equity, and inclusion. The project seeks to foster opportunities for underrepresented people in the built environment fields (architecture, landscape architecture, planning, urban design, and real estate among others) to launch their academic career based on high quality and far-reaching teaching and scholarship.
