Ashley Daniel
Ashley Daniel is currently pursuing Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Urban Planning and Design degrees from the University of Georgia. Her areas of interest include community design and regional/local planning. As a designer, her goals are to connect individuals to their landscapes and communities. She is passionate about equity and how design impacts black and brown communities. In the future, her goal as a professional is to work toward diversifying our discipline so spaces are thoughtfully and intentionally created by black and brown designers who truly empathize with and understand the people and places at focus.
Nina Weithorn
Nina Weithorn is a student in the Master of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism program at USC and a research assistant at USC's Landscape Justice Initiative. She received a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Social Work from New York University. For the past five years she has worked as an urban farmer and landscaper, consulting on and assisting in the establishment of multiple gardens and food justice initiatives around Los Angeles. Her current studies focus on ecological remediation and restoration, waste cycles, agriculture, and community engagement.
