My name is Victor Cizik and I am a fourth year at the University of Connecticut majoring in Landscape Architecture. Since I was a small child I was fascinated by nature. That love and passion for nature developed into a love for Landscape Architecture. I am passionate about all aspects of urban design and designing landscapes centered around pedestrians. I believe that everyone has a right to be able to access all parts of their cities and more importantly have access to well designed green spaces that are able to support them with their outdoor needs. In the future I would like to design landscapes for marginalized communities which lack well designed environments. I joined BlackLAN because I wanted to be part of a group that supports emerging black landscape architects and one that could support me in my efforts in sharing my experiences in this profession.
